AP Board of Trade members help launch of 2010 Terry Fox Run in Pickering

The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade was on hand to lend support to the organizers of the Pickering Terry Fox Run on Sept. 1. They were officially announcing the run date of Sept. 19 this year, for what is the 30th Anniversary year for the cancer research fundraiser.


Terry Fox volunteers and organizers gathered at the Mandarin Restaurant in Pickering and the large gathering, including students from participating schools, followed a small portion of the Marathon of Hope route Terry ran 30 years ago when he came through Durham Region.

APBoT members MPP Joe Dickson, OPG represented by Don Terry, The Sanctuary, represented by Dan Collison and Dave Johnson of NorthStar Promotions, along with APBoT staff member Dave Stell were on hand for the special occasion.

The Sanctuary church supports the run in a big way, with many church members taking part to man water stations along the course.
