Grand & Toy Whitby celebrates joining Eco-Business
The Seans at Grand & Toy Whitby, Sean Howard and Sean Ireland, have a passion for building relationships in the business world and for building on Grand & Toy's excellent reputation in their industry. Now they have taken 'green' to a new level, having earned the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade's Eco-Certificate of Achievement.
Presented at their store at 150 Taunton Rd. July 15, Grand & Toy Vice-President of Marketing, Kevin Edwards, accepted the honour on behalf of the store. On hand to make the presentation were APBOT President John G. Smith and Gary Strange, representing the Board's Environment Task Force.

Mr. Howard and Mr. Ireland hosted the presentation with great fanfare and included members of Durham Sustain Ability, which offers its EcoBusiness to every business in Durham Region and beyond, in an effort to help businesses reduce their environmental footprint.
Grand & Toy earned the Eco-Certificate of Achievement for complying with more than 80% of the Eco-Checklist, developed by the Environment Task Force last year and introduced to the Board's membership earlier this year. Nearly 20 businesses have completed the free checklist, available in the Eco-Business section of the Board's website.
