The Callery Group and Marriott join the green fold
On Friday, May 15, two more members of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade became Eco-Businesses.
The Callery Group and Residence Inn by Marriott both completed the Eco-Checklist recently and were presented with certificates for taking the Board's Eco-Challenge.
Brian Callery accepted the award, along with Bill Zolis, at their Whitby office. Mr. Zolis is also a director for the APBOT. Mr. Zolis explained that like many other companies, he found that not all of the items on the checklist are applicable to their operation, but he was pleasantly surprised to find out how many areas they were already compliant in the areas that did relate to their business.
Jackie Hunter, representing the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade's Environment Task Force, with Board President John G. Smith, presents an Eco-Certificate of Commitment to Residence Inn by Marriott to their General Manager, Subash Ramkissoon and Jacque MacMillan. The presentation was made May 15.
