On Thursday, December 1st, Wardell Professional Development and Eco Environment Plus were presented with their Phase I Eco Business certificates in a brief ceremony that was held in conjunction with the Lunch & Learn on lighting retrofit programs held at the OPG information Centre in Pickering.
OPG Earns Phase II Eco-Business

On November 17th, OPG was formally presented with two Eco-Business certificates after having completed both the Phase I and the Phase II checklist. The photo was taken in front of their electric van as a symbol of the company's commitment to sustainable environmental practices.

On Tuesday, November 15th, Mary Cunningham of Cunningham & Associates was presented with the Phase I Eco-Business certificate by APBOT 1st Vice-President, Gary Strange and Eco-Business Advisory Committee Chair, Peter Forint. The presentation took place at the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade's offices at 144 Old Kingston Road in Pickering Village, Ajax.

On Tuesday, November 1st, APBOT representatives we on site at Monarch Kitchen and Bath Centre in Pickering to present the company with their Phase II Eco-Business Certificate. The certificate was presented by Peter Forint of Wardell Professional Development, Chair of the board of Trade's Eco-Business Advisory Committee and Gary Strange of First Durham Insurance and Financial, the 1st Vice President of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade.
Whereas the Phase I certificate is awarded to businesses who make a committment to take steps to make their business more sustainable, Phase II rewards the follow through and the tangible efforts made by a company.
