AJAX/PICKERING, ON (August 23, 2010) – The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards nomination process is complete and an impressive group of companies and business leaders are being considered for the 2010 event.
The nominees are all selected for their level of excellence in all areas of their business operations by business peers among the Board’s membership, although nominees do not have to be members of the Board of Trade. This year’s ceremony takes place at Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility on Thursday, Oct. 14.
“As always, the judges have their work cut out for them in evaluating and selecting one recipient to receive the award in each category,” says Jason Cameron, 2010 Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade president. “These are businesses that are easily recognizable for their commitment to running quality operations and excelling within their industries. Each is deserving of this recognition and would be worthy of receiving the award.”

The criteria for the business categories include outstanding customer service, entrepreneurship and innovation, continuous improvement/quality programs, community support, national/international achievements, environmental efforts and safety.
Similarly, the criteria for Business Person include leadership and entrepreneurial skills, career and business achievements; employee/labour relations; contributions to community and marketing/promotional achievements.
