AJAX/PICKERING, January 28, 2010 – Jason Cameron, a commercial banking manager for BMO Bank of Montreal, was officially inducted as president of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade during the President’s Inaugural Dinner, held Thursday evening.

Mr. Cameron was sworn in along with members of the Board’s 2010 Council, who took the oath of office administered by Durham Regional Chair Roger Anderson. The ceremonies were once again held at Deer Creek Golf Clubs in Ajax.

Holiday cheer served
at Board luncheon

The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade Christmas Luncheon brought a crowd of more than 150 to the Ajax Convention Centre on Dec. 10 where good food, prizes and the popular Christmas Carol contest combined to make the event a tremendous success.

Among the many fabulous prizes up for grabs were tickets to an upcoming Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Montreal Canadiens game, donated by Cornell Insurance.

The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade Annual General Meeting was held at the Ajax Convention Centre Thursday, Dec. 10, just prior to the Board's Christmas Luncheon, a traditional event for the organization.

Concluding several business items on its agenda, the AGM was also witness to the changing of the guard as President John G. Smith thanked the members for their support throughout what was a very successful year for the Board.
