2010 APBOT Business Excellence
Award nominees announced
AJAX/PICKERING, ON (August 23, 2010)
– The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards
nomination process is complete and an impressive group of companies and
business leaders are being considered for the 2010 event.
The nominees are all selected for their level of excellence in all areas
of their business operations by business peers among the Board’s
membership, although nominees do not have to be members of the Board of
Trade. This year’s ceremony takes place at Deer Creek Golf & Banquet
Facility on Thursday,
Oct. 14.
Pickering Town Centre opens its doors to APBOT
The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade visited the
Pickering Town Centre on Aug. 10 to do some Breakfast Networking.
Once again the Breakfast Series sponsors returned to promote their business, with
The Callery Group, Durham Community Foundation, The
Sanctuary-Pickering and
ServiceMaster,
all on hand. Additional sponsors for this event were
Childrens' Wish Foundation and
Deer Creek Golf Clubs.
Tim Hudak visits Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade
Provincial party leader, Tim Hudak, leader of the Conservative Party of
Ontario, visited the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade to talk to business
leaders about local issues recently. He talked to a small group gathered
at the Board's offices in Pickering Village and several topics came up,
from insurance to health care.
A formula for success
in networking skills
Peter Forint with Wardell Professional Development lead a full house of
APBoT members through the fine art of networking for business and
personal success at the Aug. 5 Lunch & Learn. It was generously hosted by RBC Royal Bank - Steeple Hill Branch.
