Business Excellence & Business person of the Year Award
The Business Excellence and Business Person of the Year Awards is our most significant venue for company and individual profile. Created in 1994, the BEA Program was designed to pay tribute to the achievements of companies located in Ajax and Pickering.  The Business Person of the Year element was added in 2004 and was very well received.  The program has become one of the most reputable and prestigious in Durham Region, with all award recipients going on to provincial competition through the Outstanding Business Achievement Awards Program coordinated by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.

Annual General Meeting & Christmas Celebration
The most important business meeting for the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade is this one! Presentations are delivered by the Executive Officers detailing the accomplishments of the previous year and plans for the future. The past several years have seen the AGM coupled with the ever popular Christmas Lunch, and has become the sell-out event that kicks off the Christmas season and just gets better and better!  The Carol singing competition has taken on significant importance at this event, and along with the generous donation of door prizes, a fun and festive time is had by all.

Networking Breakfasts and After Hours
The majority of our membership is small business 1- 9 employees and they’ve indicated loud and clear that they’re primarily interested in opportunities to promote themselves.  Ten of these events are provided per year, 5 breakfasts and 5 after hours events.
