The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade enjoyed a crowd of more than 70 members and future members along with amazing dinner samples at its March 9 Networking After 5, hosted at Mr. C's Restaurant at Deer Creek Golf Clubs

Sponsors for the Networking series this year are CIBC, Johnson Inc. Insurance, R&G Auto Centre and Sun Life Financial advisor Don Turnbull. Our event sponsors at Mr. C's were Express Employment Professionals, First Durham Insurance and Financial and Grandview Children's Foundation.

Paul Bertrand offered an eloquent description of the many ways Express Employment Professionals can help businesses with hiring the best people and providing leadership to their staff.


As always, the Networking format allowed for two minutes at the mic for the sponsors to share the details of their businesses and some of the Board's newer members attending their first events had 30 seconds at the mic.

Kathy McKay recognizes the recent recipients of the Board's referral program: Chris Vale of CLH Design, Peter Forint of Wardell Professional Development, Deb Salomon of Metroland and Shirley Bankey of Pre-Paid Legal.


The latest recipients of the Board of Trade's referral program were recognized by Executive Director Kathy McKay, with $25 certificates to be used for Board of Trade events, advertising and more. The recipients this time were Chris Vale of CLH Design, Peter Forint of Wardell Professional Development, Deb Salomon of Metroland and Shirley Bankey of Pre-Paid Legal.
