Jason Cameron as 2010 president
Governing council sworn in during annual dinner
AJAX/PICKERING, January 28, 2010 – Jason Cameron, a commercial banking manager for BMO Bank of Montreal, was officially inducted as president of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade during the President’s Inaugural Dinner, held Thursday evening.
Mr. Cameron was sworn in along with members of the Board’s 2010 Council, who took the oath of office administered by Durham Regional Chair Roger Anderson. The ceremonies were once again held at Deer Creek Golf Clubs in Ajax.
Durham College President Don Lovisa welcomes the guest speaker, Michael Herring of BMO Nesbitt Burns.

John G. Smith, of WordSmith Media, will serve as chair of the Board’s 2010 Council. Joining them are two new directors beginning three year terms on Council, Rob Rock of Conpute and Lisa Patel, of RLP Signature Realty. Janis Amzallag (Conext Inc.) is corporate secretary and Donna McFarlane (Durham College) is first vice-president and Mr. Rock takes on the duties of treasurer.
Directors take the oath of office, as they are sworn in for the 2010 term of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade.

Lisa Hausz of the Town of Ajax, and Lynn Winterstein of the City of Pickering, will continue to serve in their roles as advisors.
Dan Carter presented two more Isobel Carter Youth Fund award winners with $500 RESPs during the President's Inaugural Dinner. They are Erin Jones, left and Joanna Alphonso.

Once again, the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade partnered with Dan Carter during the ceremonies to present the Isobel Carter Youth Award (in form of $500 RESPs) to two deserving students. Erin Jones and Joanna Alphonso were both selected because they possess qualities that coincide with Isobel Carter’s commitment to supporting individuals that show a kind heart, a generous soul and leadership when it is most important.
MPP Joe Dickson brought greetings and a certificate commemorating Jason Cameron's induction as the 2010 president of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade.
