2010 Call for Nominations


Do you know a business that has made a significant contribution to our community? Have you received outstanding service? Has a new business impressed you? Nominate them now! As a member of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade, you are entitled to nominate as many companies or individuals as you feel deserve the chance to compete for one of these prestigious awards, provided they have not been an award recipient in the past three years, i.e. 2007 onwards.

Business Excellence Award

* Each company will be evaluated in one of three categories 1-9, 10-49, and 50+ employees

* Nominees can be a business located in Ajax or Pickering OR any member of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade located outside of Ajax or Pickering

* A nominee need not excel in all areas but MUST be able to prove excellence in at least one (1) area

· Outstanding Customer Service

· Entrepreneurship and Innovation

· Continuous Improvement / Quality Programs

· Community Support

· National / International Achievements

· Environmental Efforts

· Safety

Business Person of the Year Award

* Any person working in a business located in Ajax or Pickering OR working in a company that is a member of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade located outside of Ajax or Pickering.

* A nominee need not excel in all areas but MUST be able to prove excellence in at least one (1) area:

· Leadership and Entrepreneurial Skills

· Career and Business Achievements

· Employee/Labour Relations

· Contributions to Community

· Marketing/Promotional Achievements

To nominate a business or an individual, provide the name and contact information of the nominee and a short paragraph telling us why you are nominating them.


I will then contact each nominee directly to explain the process. Submissions are due August 13th, 2010.
